A DAY OF PENANCE...

I didn't know that today was so marked until I read about it in the Missalette this morning.

From Corpus Christi Parish:

FOR VIOLATIONS TO THE DIGNITY OF THE HUMAN PERSON COMMITTED THROUGH ACTS OF ABORTION AND A DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE FULL RESTORATION OF THE LEGAL GUARANTEE OF THE RIGHT TO LIFE.

  1. I was there for only a few hours of the 22nd at the Basilica in WDC. Something or someone impelled me to go when I had other plans. It was full of young people and it smelled good, like the "smell of sanctity", it was a holy smell even among such a crowd in the downstairs section. Youth sleeping under the relics of Pope Pius the 12th, lucky ones. It was a great feast of "just being there" and giving love and recieving love. Could not go to the other activities had to work but gave the thumbs up to a youth group by the CVS near the White House. Gosh first time this city felt so great. Like if a shadow had gone away and angels were bordering the city, like in Jericho, the walls will fall down. I have seen that 7 day prayer done and walls have fallen down. So be ready to dance like David when abortion is stricken down. This is your WDC correspondent having a good time in the city. And oh yes, people are sneezing outside a lot, might be spring coming around the corner, I am not wearing sweaters now just a light jacket and shirt this time around.
